DB Schenker Award: Closing date for applications expires by July 31
The 2012 DB Schenker Award honors young scientists with a cash prize of 10,000 euros
The closing date for applications for one of the most important international awards in the logistics industry expires just in a few days. By July 31, 2012, Applicants can submit their dissertation, postdoctoral qualification or comparable academic work for consideration for the 2012 DB Schenker Award.
The DB Schenker Award has been given out annually since 1978 to foster young scientific talent. It recognizes scientific work in the fields of logistics, traffic and transportation. Papers on information systems, management systems or communications systems are also permissible, provided they have a particular reference to logistics.
The DB Schenker Award is considered by the scientific community today to be one of the highest European honors for logisticians. The Award comes with cash prizes of 10,000 euros for the winner and 5,000 euros for the supervising professor.
