DB Schenker continues its commitment to major sports events, in particular to the Olympic Movement when in June 13, 2003 Schenker signed an agreement with the IOC through to December 31, 2008 in the product category of freight forwarding and customs clearance.

This means that DB Schenker, one of the leading global providers of integrated services in the areas of land transport as well as air and sea freight, is an official supplier to the IOC for freight forwarding and customs clearance for the Olympic Games. DB Schenker will cooperate with the IOC and the Organization Committees for the Athens 2004 Olympic Games (ATHOC), the Torino 2006 Olympic Winter Games (TOROC) and the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games (BOCOG).

DB Schenker has extensive experience in the provision of logistics services to large international sporting events inclusive of the  1972 Olympic Games, Sydney 2000 Olympic Games, Salt Lake City 2002 Olympic Winter Games, and Manchester 2002 Commonwealth Games. DB Schenker recognizes that the Olympic Games demand detailed planning to ensure the services meet the criteria of the respective Organizing Committee and its customers.
