    Job Overview


    At Schenker International S.A. de C.V. we are looking for a Senior Support Specialist - AWS & Linux to be part of our IT team, for our office in Guadalajara, Mexico.
    The Senior Support Specialist AWS & Linux within the business unit "Global Infrastructure Services" is responsible for supporting DB Schenker's Cloud environments based on a multi-hybrid-cloud architecture using global support processes and tools.
    This role contributes to the Cloud Journey of DB Schenker by automating and maintaining the process of infrastructure deployment with the Schenker Cloud Platform. In addition, the candidate will participate in a huge cloud to cloud migration project, aiming to insource existing services towards the Schenker cloud platform.
    What will be your challenges?
    * Operates and maintains cloud-based infrastructure components (with focus on VM Instance based Linux Servers, Container Environments and other AWS based PaaS services).
    * Implements and Conducts Monitoring of utilization, performance and availability of system components & services.
    * Provides support for infrastructure components of cloud-based application stacks in critical situations.
    * Conducts log analysis and patch management to ensure high system integrity and security.
    * Contributes to planning and implementation of failure and disaster recovery tests.
    * Utilizes DevOps principles & tools to devise work strategies for automated processes to deploy & maintain virtual datacenter components in our cloud stacks.
    * Supports in creating and maintaining strategies to avoid risks and enable disaster recovery.
    * Builds and Operates cloud-based environments in accordance with company compliance and security guidelines and regulations.
    * Support in onboarding existing and new staff in cloud technology and new ways of working.

    Requirements

    What you need to succeed (Qualifications, experience, skills, attributes)


    * Minimum bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
    * More than 5 years' experience in IT Support.
    * 3 or more years of experience with enterprise grade AWS cloud computing and orchestration.
    * 3 or more years of experience with Managed Linux Servers in enterprise environments (RedHat or SuSE Linux preferred).
    * Profound experience in applying Infrastructure as Code (IaC) paradigms.
    * Preferred applied tool knowledge: Terraform, GIT, Jenkins, RHEL Management Stack.
    * Basic knowledge of ITIL processes (Foundation Level).
    * Basic knowledge of IT security regulations and standards such as ISO 27001.
    Competences:
    * Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively across diverse organizations, groups and functions.
    * Team player, able to operate in a changing environment.
    * Fluent Business English (written and spoken).
