Twelve DB Schenker colleagues had the chance to participate in the second DB Conference "Women in Management" in Potsdam / Berlin. They presented overall diversity initiatives and some of the diversity networks existing at DB Schenker.

At a DB conference, 180 female managers got together to listen to interesting key note speeches on topics such as leadership and transformation. Also, various workshops took place dealing with topics like “Managing Brexit – the impact of talent and leadership” to “Managers as agile coaches” and “Agility – Innovation – Disruption”.
Another important element of the conference was the networking. Having a big group of professional women from national companies as well as from DB Cargo and Arriva gave an opportunity to tackle the topics that are common to women in leadership positions all over the world. All shared experiences, got new inspirations and ideas. This was especially important and useful for young potentials that senior female managers could bring to the conference.

On the second day of the conference, Ulrich Weber, CHRO at DB, talked about future challenges such as digitization, generation Z and aging workforce. Together with guest speakers, a lively discussion started.
Presenting diversity at DB Schenker: eight of our women in business at their stand
Throughout the event, DB Schenker had a stand presenting “Diversity and Women in Business groups at DB Schenker". The stand was frequently visited and the group got a lot of positive feedback for the initiatives and the fact that this topic is on the top management’s agenda. Also in great demand: the Diversity Game developed by our Swedish colleagues.
