Departmental/Operational key Responsibilities may include:
- Facilitate the project kick off, setting customers and Schenker’s expectations for the coming project
- Facilitate Customer/Schenker workshops, and the creation of a comprehensive narrative of the customers’ business requirements
- Define project expectations from the workshop and have a clear direction on how to achieve the agreed solution
- Control Change Management understanding implications and communicating change to appropriate owners
- Review go-live plan and risk assessment, and ensure potential risks have been identified and addressed by the Business
- Audit new business implementations, confirm solution fits business needs, productivity levels are being achieved and if required suggest corrective measures to ensure desired productivities are met
- Manage project budgets and provide advice to Commercial Manager to ensure project, operational and ongoing costs are aligned to the customer cost model
Competencies and Skills required:
- Experience in Supply Chain Management, in particular the design and application of computerised logistics and supply chain systems (E.g. WMS/TMS systems, ERP process tools)
- Experience in Project Management and the ability to work on own on several projects at the same time often to very tight time frame
- Strong planning, organisation, time management and facilitation skills
- Leadership and people management capability, demonstrable through effective communication, and ability to influence outcomes
- Exceptional interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving and communication skills required
- Required to work autonomously, flexible hours and be able to travel interstate

The Role
We are seeking a Project Manager to join our busy Logistics team.
This position is required to:
This role is responsible for the Project Management of best-in-class warehousing, distribution, transportation operations and value-added services in support of Schenker’s Logistics Operations. This is the lead role for new business implementations and the successful transition from projects to self-sustained and efficient operations.
The position converts and translates the customer requirements into a deliverable / maintainable product that that can be deployed across multiple sites. The position is to focus on defining a functional model to integrate systems and processes that will enable Schenker to deliver a cost effective, timely and functional solutions.
