Panama Canal Adjustment Factor notice for North America to Europe, Middle East and Africa

Following historically low water levels in the Gatun Lake that have caused draft restrictions on vessels transiting from West Coast North America, Steamship Lines have issued announcements of a Panama Canal Adjustment Factor.

Please be advised of the intended NEW Panama Canal Adjustment Factor for all cargo from North America West Coast origins to all destinations in Europe, Middle East and Africa will be as follows:

    Effective date February 1st, 2024
    USD 150 per 20ft container
    USD 300 per 40ft container
For LCL shipments, USD 7.00 per w/m (weight or measurement).

We will continue to monitor closely how the market will react to this Surcharge and will update you when there is a change.

We appreciate your continued support as a valued customer and should you require any further information or clarification, please do not hesitate to contact your account manager or customer service representative.
