Update 5 – Hurricane Irma – Florida, Georgia and U.S. Coastal Areas

(Miami, FL 09/12 – 10 am) We would like to update our network partners and customers on the recent developments in the USA.

Puerto Rico Update – SJU office is open.
San Juan, Puerto Rico office is now fully operational. Please contact the local branch for specific shipment information.

Hurricane Irma Update – Miami and Orlando Office are Currently Closed.
DB Schenker offices located in Florida will be closed today, Tuesday, September 12th. Both offices will resume limited operations Wednesday, September 13th and hope to be fully operational by Thursday, September 14th. For more information read Customer notification.

For ocean freight cargo please note:

  • Port of Miami and the Port Tunnel are open.
  • U.S. Coast Guard cleared truck and gate operations for Seaboard Marine Container Terminal.
  • The port will remain closed for marine traffic until further notice.
  • Truck and gate operations will be closed on Tuesday, September 12 for POMTOC and SFCT container terminals.

For air freight cargo please note: 
MIA is scheduled to operate about 30 percent of its usual number of passenger flights today, and will see that percentage increase daily until it reaches full operations - possibly by this weekend. However, cargo operators are in the process of repositioning aircrafts and crew to the Miami area. Full flight operations expected to resume on Thursday, September 14th.
