Senior Application Support Specialist

Your tasks

  • Maintains application support processes, and checks that all requests for support are dealt with according to agreed procedures
  • Uses application management software and tools to investigate issues, collect performance statistics and create reports
  • Prioritizes and diagnoses incidents according to agreed procedures
  • Investigates causes of incidents and seeks resolution
  • Escalates unresolved incidents
  • Facilitates recovery, following resolution of incidents
  • Documents and closes resolved incidents according to agreed procedures
  • Initiates and monitors actions to investigate and resolve problems in systems, processes and services
  • Determines problem fixes/remedies
  • Assists with the implementation of agreed remedies and preventative measures
  • Carries out agreed application maintenance tasks
  • “Go Live” support after introduction of new solutions
  • Supporting the processing of service requests
  • Configuration of software parameters to meet business requirements by using the existing data ▪ For high priority issues provide on-call production support within & after office hours, including weekends & Chinese public holidays
  • Co-work with colleagues in other locations and support the handover

Requirements

  • Competent in Applications Support
  • Basic in Customer Service Su pport, sense in customer & service orientation ▪ Competent in ITIL
  • Proficient in commitment to quality, able to deal with complexity
  • Competent in willingness to learn & flexibility
  • Competent in information & communication behavior
  • Competent in team building & cooperation
  • Independent and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Proficient in English
  • Able to produce/write SQL statements
  • Knowledge in warehouse operations is preferred
  • University degree in computer science or related discipline
  • Experience in contract logistics & ERP system support is preferred
  • Preferably 3-5 years of relevant working experience in large multi-national organizations
