    DB Schenker’s New Energy Truck Fleet: painting green landscape

    As one of the world's leading logistics service providers, DB Schenker Greater China and Foton Motor Group reached a consensus on cooperation this year.

    Nowadays, sustainable development has become a major trend in all walks of life. Especially in the field of transportation, the trend of electrification and decarburization is developing day by day, which helps to transform the energy consumption structure.

    As one of the world's leading logistics service providers, DB Schenker Greater China and Foton Motor Group reached a consensus on cooperation this year. In order to accelerate the implementation of its green logistics system in China, DB Schenker will purchase 42 Foton iBlue New Energy Light Trucks and operate them in 15 provinces and cities across China to minimize the carbon footprint of the transportation process.

    On the roads of major cities today appears electric trucks with the characteristics of smart, eco-friendly, safety and comfort. These low-carbon environmental trucks, blended in green sceneries, draw one most beautiful picture after another in cities.

    Does the figure of DB Schenker’s new energy truck fleet make you feel amazing? In fact, their contribution to reducing carbon emissions is even more commendable.

    Once the new energy vehicles are put into service, carbon emissions during transportation will be greatly reduced compared to traditional fuel vehicles. Based on a single truck's projected annual operational mileage of 50,000 kilometers, 42 electric trucks can reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 609 tons per year, the equivalent of planting more than 33,000 trees.

    DB Schenker will expand its energy truck fleet with another new hydrogen truck and two heavy NEV tractors to lead the way to an environmental trend on the November. Let’s wait and see!
