The launch of this remarkable logistics centre marks the geographic expansion of DB Schenker’s logistics service in the Yangtze River Delta Economic Circle. Located at the core of the Yangtze River Economic Belt, the centre will provide stronger logistics support for the development of regional industrial clusters in cities, and service areas such as Shanghai, Hangzhou, Suzhou and Ningbo, including Yangshan Deepwater Port, Ningbo Port, Zhapu Port, Dushan Port and other regional ports.
This newly operational Pinghu Logistics Centre is DB Schenker's first 100% invested, top-notch Class C Category II logistics centre in Greater China. With 11 storage areas spanning over 54,000 square meters, the centre will serve many enterprises in various vertical markets such as industrial products, healthcare, e-commerce, and high-tech products.

The self-service and digital management system can effectively improve daily processes in the centre through optimising utilisation of smart facilities. Coinciding with the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Germany - the launch of the Pinghu Logistics Centre demonstrates DB Schenker's confidence in sustaining operations and continuous investment in China.
Vishal Sharma, CEO of DB Schenker Greater China, said, “Over the years, DB Schenker has gained sustained benefits from China's flourishing market and rich industrial resources, and kept deepening local cooperation and development to achieve win-win. The launch of Pinghu Logistics Centres will enable us to respond quickly to the logistics needs of industrial clusters in East China — especially in the Yangtze River Delta — through more advanced and complete infrastructure, as well as superior services. In the years ahead, DB Schenker will continue to expand its business scale and develop new business models in China to help its Chinese customers succeed through more efficient and sustainable services.”
