The DB Schenker biathlon truck is once again on the winter roads to accompany the Czech national team to the World Cup races. Last year, the logistics company replaced the truck model with the new Renault T High 480 model which also had a sticker in national colours. Martin Žák and Veronika Vébrová, who have become a necessary but imaginary part of the national team, have traditionally been behind the wheel.

The logistics company DB Schenker is a long-term partner of the Paraple Centre. It has been cooperating with this public benefit company for 15 years, which is exactly half of its activity on the Czech market. Over the years, DB Schenker has been helping materially and financially. Most recently, it has contributed 300,000 CZK as part of Saturday's StarDance benefit evening broadcast by the Czech Television.

DB Schenker today announced it was the recipient of the Cisco 2021 Excellence in Global Logistics award. Cisco unveiled the award winners at its annual Supplier Appreciation Event (SAE). The 30th annual SAE was aired virtually for the second year in a row on Cisco TV on September 14, 2021.

This year, volunteers from DB Schenker headed off to the Prameny Klíčava nature reserve. In the deep forests of this area there are well-preserved floodplain alders and peat bogs, which are home to rare wetland plants and animals.

As is now a tradition, volunteers from the DB Schenker logistics company have assisted in the nationwide environmental scheme Let's Clean up the Czech Republic. During one weekend afternoon, they managed to collect several hundred kilos of plastic waste, glass, cans, textiles and much more from the countryside around Prague, Plzeň and Liberec. Besides the actual clean-up work, DB Schenker also handled the logistics for the work materials for more than 500 cleaning groups throughout the Czech Republic from its warehouse in Pardubice.

For good intentions to become a reality requires a great deal of effort and enthusiasm from the people who want to help. Global Tooling Service (GTS), the company for which DB Schenker imports medical supplies to the Czech Republic, has decided to donate 53,000 nitrile gloves to charity. Thanks to DB Schenker's inventiveness, excellent organisation and logistics, we have succeeded in supplying the 12 social centres and almost two dozen retirement homes and medical facilities in which ADRA operates.
