Do you want to be part of the world's third largest carrier? Do you enjoy an international environment with speed and contact with people all over the world? Then become a freight forwarder student in DB Schenker.
Decisions, responsibilities and speed
As a freight forwarder student at DB Schenker, you will quickly be equipped to work independently with both transport and customers.
In your student life you will work with transport, logistics, customer service, disposition and administration. You will be trained in one of our transport modes: land, ocean, air or combined transport.
You will find that you are quickly given responsibility and must make decisions. With us you learn to maintain the overview - even when it is going strong. You learn to consider the economy in a business decision, and to give customers the best possible experience and service.
You will get a well-planned student program, where you get to go around in different departments, within the form of transport where you are learning. During your student training you will have a broad network of colleagues, a student manager, your immediate manager and other students whom you can seek guidance from and who can support you through your student education.
Soon after the start of your student education you will participate in an introduction course at the head office of Denmark in Copenhagen, where you will get to know the other students and DB Schenker better. Through evaluation interviews with the student responsible, we ensure that you keep track of your development.
Who are you?
It is an advantage that you have a high school background such as HHX, STX or HTX, but we are of course also open to candidates with EUX background and adult students. If you have an HHX or EUX education, you can start directly on the freight forwarder education.
If you have a STX or HTX education, you must have a 5-week basic education (possibly online) first. Your local business school can help you with that.
We transport goods around the world and have contact with many different people, cultures and languages daily. Therefore, it is important that you as a minimum speak and write fluent Danish and English. If you can do other languages, it's an added plus.
We expect you to be outgoing, energetic, positive and have a great service. You will in the daily have many open tasks in co-operation with colleagues, customers and transport providers. Therefore, it is important that you can maintain the overview even when it is strong. We expect you to go the extra mile and are persistent - even when there are challenges.
