DB Schenker participates again in this year's breast cancer campaign

For the second year in a row, DB Schenker Denmark participates when Avedøre Holme joins and supports the breast cancer campaign.

“At DB Schenker we support this very good campaign because it is also about being socially responsible in our corporate culture. It is obvious that we use the business community at Avedøre Holme in Hvidovre, to get even more attention and raise even more funds for "Support the Breasts". Furthermore, it is a great way to strengthen the network, we get to know each other better and at the same time we have the opportunity to talk and reflect while exercising.

I know from last year's event that our employees were very happy to be invited to participate in this fun event and thereby contribute. Unfortunately, it is a fact that most of us either have colleagues, friends or family who are affected or directly affected by the disease. Cancer affects far too many people, and many more resources are needed to support research in this area, which is why we are pleased to be able to contribute through the "Support the Breasts" campaign. "

- Henrik Dam Larsen, CEO of DB Schenker Denmark

The campaign culminates in a Pink Friday event on Friday, October 25, 2019 at Roche at Industriholmen. The event starts with a quick walk or run around Avedøre Holme, with subsequent lunch for everyone.

The community at Avedøre Holme is strengthened

In everyday life, the companies at Avedøre Holme may not have a great deal with each other, but the breast cancer campaign brings together the companies around a common cause. A case that many people today are affected by and which many of the company's employees are affected by. The campaign is supported by volunteering, care and an interest in backing up more funding for cancer research.

DB Schenker is co-organizer of the event along with Roche, CIMO All Graphic, KLS PurePrint and Scandiwear. Last year, DKK 105,240 was raised, which went uncut to the Danish Cancer Society.
