A culturally diverse team in the Netherlands
Her team comprises 16 colleagues, a mix of Dutch, Russian, British, German, Turkish, Serbian and Bulgarian. For events, additional international staff is hired and joins the diverse cultural mixture.

How to handle cultural challenges?
“I address openly the different perspectives and even potential challenges which come with that. It is a constant dialogue between all colleagues to understand each other’s differences. This is how we can unleash the full potential of diversity! This makes us a powerful team!”
“Once a colleague decides to live in the Netherlands, we help them integrate. A strong start requires language skills and language courses which we pay for,” explains Nicole.
“There are some great examples of how colleagues from other countries have picked up the language and integrated into the diverse culture of the Netherlands. It is all about respecting humans and different perspectives.”
