Your tasks
* Being member of the respective transition team to relocate accounting activities to Bucharest, when applicable
* Analyzing complex financial reports and records
* Responsible for creating/updating standard process manuals/other work documentation when required
* Perform assigned accounts payables activities in a timely and accurate manner
* Support Team Manager with assigned activities
* Act as back-up for Team Manager (coordinate operational activities; audit support; etc)
* Reviewing journal entries of junior accountants to ensure accuracy
* Training and mentoring junior/ senior staff
* Performing variance analyses and preparing account reconciliations
* Respond to vendor queries
* Assisting with financial and tax audits
* Documenting and monitoring internal controls in support of auditing team
* Coordinating more complex accounting projects and initiatives with other members of the accounting and finance team or with other departments
* Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives to optimize service quality
* Performs other duties as assigned by direct superiors and managers
* 2-4 years of relevant experience
* Preferably international accounting certificate obtained, or in progress
* Proficiency in working with ERP, preferably SAP/MM FI module
* University degree in the field of accounting, finance and economics is a plus
* Strong accounting background
* Several years of working experience preferably in large/global organizations
* Good technical knowledge of MS office
* Effective analytical and problem-solving skills
* Willing to collaborate within a team in order to achieve common goals
* Good attention to details
* Enthusiasm and commitment to delivering quality results to tight deadlines
* Ability to understand complex environments
* Previous experience with transitioning project(s) is considered an advantage
* Self-motivation, quick learning and creative thinking
* Very good English language skills, additional European languages are very beneficial
