Senior Customer Services Representative - Air Import

Your tasks

As Senior Customer Services Representative, you will assist the department supervisor in performing services duties and invoicing to ensure the compliance with department work procedure and customer SOP:
  • Communicate with Consignee, Sales & overseas office for arrangement of import shipment to GC major gateways, especially to CAN.
  • Receive new shipment order request from overseas, check with Consignee for greenlight, communicate with sales team to provide quotation and place order to overseas office after Consignee approval
  • Receive new shipment order request from Consignee, check if valid selling rate on hand. If not, communicate with sales team to provide quotation, then place order to overseas office after approval
  • Receive new shipment request from sales, place order to overseas office and keep follow up until pre-alert received from origin.
  • Send instruction to overseas office for any special handling requirement or any critical shipment from customer (eg. DGR, CITES, strategic commodities... etc.)
  • After green-light given from customer/Consignee, coordinate with oversea office to check cargo ready date, pickup date & timely update shipment status to Consignee until pre-alert received from origin. If any irregularity, need to inform Consignee immediately
  • Check and ensure all ship information (shown on HAWB) is correct after received shipment pre-alert from Origin
  • Check flight schedule from airline's website against pre-alert information
  • Check rate on the HAWB and inform origin to amend HAWB if any rate discrepancy, credit note is required as well if overcharged by origin
  • Send pre-alert to Consignee before flight departure
  • Send pre-alert with quotation to Operation further follow up the shpt , coordinate with Ops if have any special handling request for the shipment

Requirements

  • Junior college or above
  • 2~3 years working experience in the freight forwarding industry
  • Computer literate. Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel and Word
  • Proficient in English and Mandarin
