DB Schenker Indonesia Receives AEO Certification from Indonesia Customs

DB Schenker, a leading global logistics provider in Indonesia, has recently received an Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) certification from Indonesia Customs. This certification positions DB Schenker in Indonesia as a trusted and reliable partner in international trade and demonstrates its commitment to providing its customers with high-quality logistics services.

The AEO program is an initiative by the World Customs Organization (WCO) that aims to enhance global supply chain security and facilitate trade through the mutual recognition of secure and compliant supply chain operators. It recognizes companies that have implemented security and compliance measures that meet international standards and best practices.

To receive AEO certification, a company must undergo a rigorous assessment of its security and safety standards, financial viability, and compliance with customs regulations. DB Schenker Indonesia’s successful certification demonstrates its commitment to providing its customers with secure, reliable, and efficient logistics services.

Previously, DB Schenker Indonesia had received an AEO certificate only for its Bonded Warehouse (TPS) in Cengkareng. With this new certification, DB Schenker can now operate as Customs Clearance Service Company (PPJK) in Jakarta, Cengkareng, and Marunda. The certification provides DB Schenker Indonesia with various benefits, such as faster customs clearance, reduce inspection and audit requirements, and improve access to customs simplification and other trade facilitation measures.
