Role Accountabilities:
The primary accountabilities of the Quality Manager are:
· To manage, maintain and improve DB Schenker Australia’s quality assurance system in accordance with company policies and ISO 9001:20015 quality standards.
· Prepare for and manage external ISO9001:2015 tri-annual/surveillance audits ensuring Re-certification at surveillance and tri-annual audits.
· Schedule internal audits as part of ISO 9001:2015 requirements, ensuring audits are carried out on time and required actions completed.
· Provide weekly site NCR and customer complaints reporting.
· Provide site / departmental NCR and rework, reject analysis data to assist managers in achieving continual improvement in their departments.
· Ensuring all NCR's and CAR's are actioned within agreed timeframes.
· Provide advice and support to all departments for on-going improvement and development of process and service quality.
· To manage, maintain and improve site policies and procedures, to manage all audits for all sites as required.
· To manage, develop and drive the continuous improvement of Quality system on site via audits, reviews, minutes and providing regular feedback to Operational Leaders.
· Actively monitors, measures and analyses the current performance of SOPs, WI’s and SWP’s and reveals deviations and areas for optimization (both technical and process).
· Specifies current qualitative deviations including an analysis of the root causes.
· Actively participates in seasonal volume peak activities to accommodate the introduction of new products with a focus on final Operations performance quality.
· Creates and manages the site quality framework to ensure process accuracy, quality, auditing, shopfloor disciplines and continuous improvement opportunities are documented via WI’s, SOP’s, documents and forms, etc.
· Working in conjunction with trainers to map and define the necessary skills of leaders and production/warehouse operators.
· Measures and reports the main quality indicators (internally, locally, globally and towards the customer).
· Actively cooperates with project specialists who manage the overall project.
· Understanding customer quality requirements and develop solutions that increase customer satisfaction.
· Ensuring all necessary compliance requirements are maintained.
· Collaborate with management to set quality benchmarks and drive improvement.
· Ensure Schenker WH&S policy and procedures are implemented and maintained.
· Ensure compliance with department and corporate operational procedure as laid down in Schenker procedures. Recommending appropriate changes to these procedures as required.
· Attend to other duties as deemed necessary by the Business Operations Manager.

· Experience in Third Party Logistics or Freight Forwarding industries.
· Exposure to and understanding of training principles.
· Strong awareness of and exposure to WH&S requirements.
