Principal Accountabilities (The following is intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed. It is not an exhaustive list of all expectations.): * Establishes and coordinates an organization-wide approach to training and development. * Defines and documents cost-effective training and development plans; manages changes to plans, as needed, due to priority and need changes. * Ensure regulatory compliance of required Corporate, Local, Federal training (i.e. Hazmat, corrosives, etc.) * Monitor, maintain, measure and report training courses taken via various tracking tools (i.e. Train Tracker, Training Portal) * Develop Curriculum to ensure continued success, safety and Management of staff * Key Element owner #2 and 15 * Develops and maintains a training catalog outlining all internal and external courses provided by the organization. * Hires, trains, supervise, motivate, and develop training and development staff; manages schedules and workflow. * Assigns duties and monitors quality of work; assures staff conforms to organizational policies and procedures and government regulations. * Defines minimum skill proficiencies for critical positions and develops a process for evaluating incumbents for the purpose of identifying strengths and weaknesses. * Provides internal consulting to individuals and departments on training and development opportunities that will enhance their performance. * Develops and implements programs, processes, and strategies to plan, evaluate, develop, and improve human and organizational resources to optimize their contribution to the company. * Prepares and monitors training budget. * Provides day-to-day guidance and oversight of subordinates; actively works to promote and recognize performance. The individual in this position must be capable of performing all of the essential functions with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Essential Functions: * Must be able to pass any federal/state/local government, airport, or company-required background checks, clearances, and/or drug and alcohol tests. Knowledge and Skills (The following minimum requirements are normal guidelines and should not constrain the advancement of otherwise qualified personnel): * This is a managerial position. * Exceptional interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, written and oral communication skills required. * Excellent presentation skills required. * Proficient on Windows based programs. * Demonstrated knowledge of instructional design, adult learning theory, and the performance consulting process. * Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required. * Generally prefer 3-6 years of related management experience.
