DB Schenker joins Virtual Business Round table about new Import Regulations

On 31 March 2022, Ms. Ivy Swe, Myanmar Head of Sales, joined a virtual Business round table on Import Regulations organized by the German Myanmar Business Chamber.

At the round table, a panel of experts exchanged information about the new regulations and the impact on importers. The new import regulations and restrictions have been implemented by the Ministry of Commerce since January 2022.

Ivy Swe, one of the main speakers at the event, talked about logistics solutions to support importers. The most important change for importers are the stricter requirements for import licenses to Myanmar.

To minimize costs, Ivy Swe recommends companies to consider a one-stop bonded solution and to pay special attention to everything needed for the import license, such as the correct HS code.

Ivy Swe, further said: “As the changes are inevitable, we want our customers to know they can rely on DB Schenker to always give the best support possible. We will always do our utmost to help them grow their business, despite the challenges.”
