In October 2018, 30 Schenker employees met volunteers from three other companies from the industrial area “Avedøre Holme” in Copenhagen. Dressed with pink t-shirts, the volunteers started on a charity walk for 3 km or charity run for 5 km. Thereby the volunteers were pursuing two aims: to collect money to support the Danish Cancer Society campaign “Støt brysterne”.
Also, the big group of people walking in pink T-Shirts served to raise awareness for the threat caused by breast cancer. For the volunteers, there was an additional upside to the activity: Next to the teambuilding aspects among Schenker Employees the volunteers also used the opportunity to network with the other 170 participants of the event from various companies.“A lot of people have cancer close to life.
