Every year, on June 8th, people around the world celebrate World Ocean’s Day to honor the ocean. This year, DB Schenker joined in the celebration. Following the motto “We need the ocean and the ocean needs us”, DB Schenker locations from around the globe participated by hosting their own ocean oriented activities.
From all over Europe to APAC and from the Americas to NMEA employees proved to walk the talk on this day. Activities ranged from cleaning up local beaches, and shores, dressing up in ocean colours to spread awareness, hosting ocean themed events for children, banning plastic from personal use, adopting a shark, and many, many more!
On that day, the DB Schenker community impressively showed their commitment to a sustainable future by reducing the impact on the environment. A huge thank you to everyone who participated and contributed to make the World Ocean’s Day a prominent reminder of how we depend on the ocean and how it depends on us.
