DB Schenker Malaysia has been an official partner of German Dual Vocational Training (GDVT) program since 2013, because we know that the program can nurture the right talents for the industry. It is a brilliant way to offer the younger generation an education path that does not necessarily require a degree but still has the opportunity to work in a multinational environment.
The need of competent and highly-skilled workers is growing rapidly. In addressing this issue, the MalaysianGerman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MGCC) in cooperation with the Department of Skills Development of the Ministry of Human Resources (MOHR) and the German-Malaysian Institute (GMI) along with Penang Skills Development Centre (PSDC) has implemented the German Dual Vocational Training (GDVT) program in Malaysia since June 2014 based on German training standards, a combination of 30% theoretical and 70% practical training.
At the moment, the program offers two commercial based practical trainings in Malaysia: Industrial Management and Logistics Operation Management.
