Rail Freight Solutions Southeast Asia to China and Europe

Benefit from improved schedule reliability and avoid road congestions by replacing the original overland transportation between Southeast Asia, China and Europe by truck-rail transportation. Combining land and rail will keep your supply chains moving during unpredictable times.

The two-way, multimodal, land and rail freight solution, uses the newly constructed China-Laos Railway. Laos borders China and has the same track gauge. Therefore, there is no need to transfer cargo at the Laos-China border, saving you time and costs.

DB Schenker’s new rail solution significantly shortens the overland journey between China and Southeast Asian countries, including Thailand, Myanmar, Malaysia, Vietnam, Cambodia, and Singapore. We also connect seamlessly to and from Europe with this service. We transport the cargo by land to Vientiane in Laos. In Vientiane, a dedicated team securely lifts the containers on the train. From Vientiane, cargo is railed to Kunming, and connects seamlessly to domestic rail throughout China and, through the Chongqing rail terminal gateway, to Europe.
