Dual use and strategic goods

Strategic goods are goods that have strategic importance because of security reasons and international agreements. They may be exported only subject to strict conditions.

They are usually goods for military use or for the manufacture of weapons of mass destruction.

The term strategic goods covers both military goods and dual-use goods. Dual-use goods can have military applications as well as their normal civil applications (conventional dual-use goods) or can be used to develop and produce weapons of mass destruction, (WMD) or the delivery systems that carry them to their target.

Staff at Schenker LogisticsĀ Nederland have taken various courses to recognize dual-use goods at an early stage.
