Air Import and Export Coordinator - Qantas Onsite

About the Role

As an Air Import and Export Coordinator, you’ll play a key role in managing airfreight operations. You’ll ensure timely and compliant cargo handling, coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, and maintain high standards of accuracy and service delivery.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Coordinating delivery bookings for shipments and monitoring delivery timeframes

• Preparing documents for freight collections and deliveries

• Activation of import and export shipment files across various IT platforms

• Entering key milestone events into IT platforms

• Monitoring shipment clearance status to ensure a streamlined import process

• Communicating with customs brokers for clearance status updates

• Booking quarantine inspections with external brokers and officers

• Liaising with clients to ensure correct documents are obtained for clearance purposes

• Investigating shipment locations to provide a seamless logistical process to meet delivery timelines

• Communicating with various airlines to ensure freight bookings are actioned

• Maintaining accuracy in financial record entries

• Attending frequent operational meetings with internal and external stakeholders

What You'll Bring:

• Experience in customer service

• 2–3 years of industry experience in either air import or export operations

• Experience in TANGO or CargoWise systems is preferred but not required

• Willing to work fully onsite

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Adaptability to be cross-trained in both import and export air operations

• Ability to reply to emails in a timely manner

• Demonstrates a proactive approach to investigating and solving logistical problems
