Agnieszka Wodzak was elected one of the thirteen DB Schenker Global Value Ambassadors from among 3,600 nominees worldwide. Agnieszka Wodzak has been employed with DB Schenker for twelve years and works as a dispatcher in the Wrocław branch of the company. This year, by the decision of the Global Culture Team, she became one of the thirteen Value Ambassadors selected from among 3,600 nominated employees worldwide.
The distinction is awarded to those employees of the company who are models for respecting DB Schenker corporate values on an everyday basis. The nomination is decided by the employee’s co-workers, and by business partners of the logistics operator – customers or suppliers.
Persons proposing Agnieszka Wodzak for the Value Ambassador award emphasized that Agnieszka is not afraid of challenges and is willing to helps others. At work, she stands out by her competence and compliance with company values. Colleagues are willing to work with her.
They especially highlighted her contributions to the development of employee volunteering. Agnieszka Wodzak has been involved in the “Time of Help" programme, organised by DB Schenker throughout Poland, for over 10 years.
“Initially, I participated in the Time of Help as a volunteer, then I started to act as a project leader. Helping others gives me great pleasure. I feel joy when I can make someone's face smile. I am proud of my colleagues who are so willing to get involved in helping those in need. Together we are carrying out projects as part of the Time of Help, which only confirms my conviction that I am surrounded by people with great hearts. Thanks to their support, I had the pleasure of organizing many actions for the benefit of the local community, which turned out to be a great success,” says Agnieszka Wodzak.
Every year there are two editions of the “Time of Help”: the Christmas Time of Help – the winter edition, and the Green Time of Help – the spring edition. Volunteers support local communities and environmental protection. Agnieszka has participated in over 20 projects.
For example, she supported an organisation that deals with disadvantaged , homeless and wild animals, with other volunteers. Together they collected funds for the purchase of trees, wooden houses for hedgehogs. As part of the winter edition of volunteering, she organised e.g. an action for children and youth from a school and education centre. She encouraged approx. 150 people to participate in the project, who together collected Christmas presents for the centre’s charges.
In addition to participating in the Time of Help, Agnieszka supports a disabled boy on a daily basis, engaging in raising funds for his treatment. She also helps animals in shelters.
