    Your tasks

    Description
    Responsible for the design of optimal and sustainable state-of-the-art IT solutions, for the integration of customer IT systems with our Schenker IT Landscape, as well as for the integration demands from our internal partners. Thus, also responsible for maintenance of the Schenker internal data flow.
    The IT Solution Architect assesses the business requirements and designs the optimal solution specification based on the Business Requirement Specification. The IT Solution Architect requires understanding of the business processes, knowledge of the to-be-connected IT Landscape and local applications and intensive knowledge of the integration IT systems and their capabilities and restrictions. The IT Solution Architect serves as IT integration consultant for all PM&I teams, and through Partner Management also for other Departments.
    Responsibilities:
    • Review, validate, and clarify business requirements.
    • Analyze existing setups and landscape, merging them with new requirements; analyze for quick wins.
    • Collaborate and discuss with all stakeholders, IT dialogue with customer IT
    • Apply defined technical standards, check for re-usability. Create workarounds if necessary.
    • Proof of concept (technical and operational/business)
    • Customer IT Sign-off on the IT solution design
    • Identify and notify potential candidates for additional standards.
    • Optimized, standards-based and re-usable IT solution design specifications based on business requirements, aligned, and approved.
    • Solution Specification is visualized, partitioned where possible, and effort and costs roughly estimated.
    • Recommendation for potential additional standards and demands to IT landscape systems.
    • PM&I internal consultancy service, Cross-department Consultancy service (channeled through Partner Management)

    Requirements

    • Experiences in project management for EDI or API projects
    • Willingness to learn & flexibility
    • Customer and service orientation
    • Understanding of business and IT processes
    • Agile and analytical mindset, able to work under pressure and deal with complexity
    • Very good team orientation, able to work in a virtually, self-organized team
    • Fluent written and spoken Business English
