Ocean Pricing Senior Associate

Responsibilities:

• Assesses incoming Ocean Freight tenders and pricing requests including independent RFQ handling, corresponding analyses of the documents and final pricing compilation.
• Coordinates and reviews pricing received from the regions / countries / ocean freight product teams in order to secure high quality and competitive submissions to the customers as well as conducts final quality and formula checks.
• Pricing / Proposal preparation as well as final verification and benchmarking in alignment with the involved regions / countries.
• Consults with Head of Ocean Pricing for final pricing decisions.
• Participates in customer meetings.
• Working on special projects improving the current process.
• Open minded and flexible handling of changing tasks and environments.

Qualifications:

• Knowledge and understanding of international logistics operations across multiple modes, with an emphasis on ocean freight.
• 1-2 years’ experience on a similar position
• Communication skills supported by customer oriented attitude.
• Ability to work under pressure and achieve required tasks & targeted results
• Ability to work in a cross-functional, matrix and virtual environment.
• Fluent spoken and written English (business and presentation fluent).
• Experienced in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook etc.).
