Responsibilities:
- Assesses incoming Ocean Freight tenders and pricing requests including independent RFQ handling, corresponding analyses of the documents and final pricing compilation.
- Coordinates and reviews pricing received from the regions / countries / ocean freight product teams in order to secure high quality and competitive submissions to the customers as well as conducts final quality and formula checks.
- Pricing / Proposal preparation as well as final verification and benchmarking in alignment with the involved regions / countries.
- Consults with Head of Ocean Pricing for final pricing decisions.
- Participates in customer meetings.
- Working on special projects improving the current process.
- Open minded and flexible handling of changing tasks and environments.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge and understanding of international logistics operations across multiple modes, with an emphasis on ocean freight.
- 1-2 years’ experience on a similar position
- Communication skills supported by customer oriented attitude.
- Ability to work under pressure and achieve required tasks & targeted results
- Ability to work in a cross-functional, matrix and virtual environment.
- Fluent spoken and written English (business and presentation fluent).
- Experienced in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook etc.).
