In Saudi Arabia, DB Schenker has been awarded the status of Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) by the Saudi Customs. This certification is affiliated with the World Customs Organization (WCO), enabling companies to act faster and more reliably in international trade.
This makes DB Schenker the largest AEO-certified logistics service provider in the country and one of the selected companies to be the pioneers of the AEO program in the Kingdom to support Saudi Arabia's vision of becoming a global logistics hub in 2030.
“With the AEO certificate DB Schenker proves to be a reliable, secure and compliant logistics partner in Saudi Arabia. We are here as pioneers to support both, our customers and the Saudi Arabian economic development Vision 2030”, said Marcel Mueller-Heywes, CEO at DB Schenker Saudi Arabia.
The AEO certificate is a seal of approval for security and compliance with local customs laws for companies along the entire supply chain. AEO-certified companies will benefit in the future from accelerated clearance procedures and fewer customs inspections resulting in cost and time savings.
DB Schenker is one of the world’s leading global logistics providers (land transport, air and ocean freight, contract logistics and supply chain management). Since 1975 DB Schenker offers logistics services in Saudi Arabia and is today one of the leading logistics service providers in the country with over 200 employees in 3 branches and 95,000 square meters of warehouse space.
