One of our most important missions is to reduce greenhouse gas emission. Our goal is to reduce our emissions by 70 percent until 2030 and to help achieve Sweden's goal of becoming climate neutral by 2045.

We work with climate compensation in two ways: Partly by climate-compensating all domestic packages and partly by giving our customers the opportunity to climate-compensate their other transports.

The projects we support

In 2020 and 2021, we invest in a project in Tonk, India, which enables renewable electricity production from mustard crop residues, and a project in Nepal that enables the production of household electricity.

DB Schenker's global climate goal: Reduce relative carbon dioxide emissions by at least 50 percent by 2030 (base year 2006).

DB Schenker's Swedish goal: Reduce the relative carbon dioxide emissions from land transport by at least 70 percent by 2030.

The collaboration with our suppliers is an important part of our sustainability work. We put great importance in choosing the right partners and regularly evaluate our suppliers. We want to work with committed partners who share our goals. Good collaborations are crucial for us to achieve our sustainability goals.

Our collaborations speed up the transition towards becoming fossil-free

We are also involved in several collaborations with a focus on creating new sustainable transport solutions: Transportföretagen, KNEG, CLOSER, Fossil-free Sweden, NTM, CLECAT, NMC, Sveriges Handelskamrar, CCWG and Air Cargo Sweden.
