Taiwan Area Head KAM and Field Sales

Your tasks

1. Lead the Area KAM new business development, solution design and successful implementation of new business. Enhance and deploy a logistics strategy focused on the client’s needs, industry challenges and deliver results that meet or exceed client expectations resulting in new and expanded business in Area of Greater China. Meet the financial goals established by growing existing business and/or by seizing new opportunities.

2. Steer and coordinate Taiwan field sales activities and making sure constant enhancement of performance; prosecution and secure of field sales targets and activities in cooperation with other DB Schenker branches and their teams

3. Key Outcomes:

  • Increase the awareness of our Key Accounts’ potential as well as being the leader when it comes to Area KAM sales and business development activities


  • Fulfilling the requirements of the customer’s needs with the tools the countries and the regions do provide, unless if not available, those need to be built up independently.


In particular, he/she will:

  • Strategic account management responsibility for select group of accounts specifically charged with growth of scope, revenue & profitability of these accounts.
  • Establish accountabilities, KPI and processes to ensure meeting customer and financial goals
  • Rolling out the activity plan as agreed by his/her management (vertical development strategies for Taiwan)
  • Identify the gaps in capabilities and put together suggestions to the management to build up such capabilities
  • Place DB Schenker Taiwan near all potential markets in the targeted countries, to enrich sales channels, market drivers, and improve access to client’s decision-making organization to capture all opportunities
  • Close cooperation with local branch sales. Train and motivate the local branch staff
  • Work with global and Regional vertical market teams to drive alignment of account management strategies
  • Guide and consult client the full range of DB Schenker products & Services
  • Supervise the launch of new projects in assisting local teams
  • Report the business development activities to his/her management according to existing formats on agreed period
  • Visit customers as well as our own country organization on a regular basis.
  • Offering innovative and creative services across the board of the supply chain. Work close with Implementation management (projects & processes)
  • Responsibility for achieving pre-defined Field sales targets in Taiwan
  • Leadership of the assigned sales team in Taiwan
  • Drive business development by managing local Field Sales team, identifying and gaining new customers and business opportunities for air, ocean, logistics and national distribution
  • Development of strategies for field sales in alignment with the Greater China
  • Provide platform for sales teams to exchange market and customer information
  • Identify and drive opportunities for sales campaigns jointly with PM and RDM
  • Evaluate credit applications; manage accounts receivable and over-due payments
  • Role as Taiwan Field Sales escalation point for internal and external stakeholders

Experience and Qualifications:
  • Minimum bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum 8 years’ working experience in an international logistics / transportation company, with proven track records of sales and business development
