EOS02 (Emergency Contingency Adjustment Surcharge) Europe, MED and BSEA to USA & Canada (revised)

Following the strong demand on the Atlantic westbound (all coasts and territories) that we experienced during summer months and that is exacerbating the already strained Trade Lane on TA Westbound we are closely monitoring the development of negotiation with ILA international Longshoremen’s Association)

ILA is pushing for a massive salary increase of 77% over six years and the talks are now “at an impasse” with head of union threatening about a members walk out if they cannot reach a new labour deal before next Sept. 30.

In the event of a strike even for a very short period at some of the nation’s busiest seaports the consequences and ripple effects on port congestion and equipment imbalance are expected to be heavy and take some time.

Effective October 5th, 2024, we will implement EOS02 (Emergency Contingency Adjustment Surcharge):

    Ex NEUR 1000USD/20ft _ 1500USD/40ft _ 1500USD/reefers _ 37.5USD/CBM for LCL
    Ex MED 1000USD/20ft _ 1500USD/40ft _ 1500USD/reefers _ 37.5USD/CBM for LCL

For all cargo from Europe to USA and Canada.
