GOLDOC DB Schenker Warehouse Tour
With less than 50 days to the event, GOLDOC representatives visited the DB Schenker warehouse on Friday, the 5th of February 2018. There were a total of 84 Venue and Deputy Venue Logistics Managers (VLM) in attendance. Various stations were set up all around the warehouse to train and educate VLM’s in operations such as Chain of Responsibility load restraint, loading of trucks, strapping/wrapping of pallets, assembly of products, forklift operation and utility vehicle (UTV) operation.
Jason Bejah our Warehouse Manager said “The DB Schenker crew led many demonstrations throughout the day and were involved in hands on teaching of techniques to help the VLM’s with their daily venue operations. By working as being one team with one goal we’re taking customers further and winning together.”
Max Blyth, Logistics Operations Manager from GOLDOC said “It was great to see all operations working together behind the scenes. The exercise was really valuable and provided GOLDOC and Schenker with the opportunity to work through key processes prior to the venues going live.”
