    State-of-the-art Facility for Perishables Logistics in Perth

    DB Schenker expands network for Perishables Supply Chain in Australia with new Perth facility.

    (Perth, 24th August 2018) DB Schenker Australia has announced today that it is expanding its Perishables Logistics footprint within Australia by opening a new facility in Perth. The company, which has a strong presence in this niche on the East coast of Australia and in New Zealand, has invested in a world-class facility at their High Wycombe site, conveniently located near to both the airport and the harbor at Fremantle. The facility boasts over 500 square meters of floor space with a large anteroom, two chillers and a freezer. There is capacity to store product up to four pallets high and the site has an unbroken cold chain to maintain product integrity.

    DB Schenker is involved in Perishables Logistics in various regions around the world and is looking to expand their Australian footprint. There is an increasing demand for high quality products into the Asia Pacific countries, food that has provenance and traceability, and this new facility adds the required integrity to the supply chain.
