Specific Accountabilities:

Individual to be involved in:

  • Gain basic experience regarding Project Management operations & the Business solution Design
  • Support the process to setup and enhance the PMO Quality Management System
  • Update existing SOP’s and PMO Guidelines, as a part of the PMO quality process
  • Support the project management team to create Meeting Minutes / Presentations
  • Actively participate in internal and external meetings
  • Management of assigned projects
  • Project tracking to agreed deliverables, with timely and accurate reporting
  • Manage / report business and project risk, with proposed mitigations

Skills Required:

  • Solution design (from a business perspective) and the writing of Business Requirement Statements to instruct IT on required changes
  • Project management
    • Plan and manage the implementation of new business projects.
    • Monitor and track progress.
    • Define and control scope.
    • Identify and manage risk.
    • Allocate and monitor work packages.
    • Develop track and control budgets.
    • Document and implement project controls.
    • Develop and build project teams.
    • Develop and build virtual teams.
    • Manage implementation go-live.
    • Lead project meetings.
    • Lead and/ or facilitate requirements workshops
    • Coach and facilitate work stream leaders meetings.
    • Report project progress.
    • Escalate issues.
    • Manage change requests.
    • Work collaboratively with senior management on issues that arise during implementation.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Self-motivated
  • Logistics experience in logistics operations, solution design, systems, implementations and projects, preferably with returns/spares logistics and/or domestic distribution
  • Experience in handling customer accounts in Hi-tech industry
