Logistics Award: DB Schenker in Germany is the “Best Logistics Brand”

Great achievement for our organization in Germany: At the end of April, Germany was honored as the best brand in the area of contract logistics services. Congratulations!

Which are the best logistics brands in Germany? More than 10,000 logistics experts and supply chain managers voted on this question. The vote, which was organized by the German professional journalLOGISTIK HEUTE  and the Bundesvereinigung Logistik [German National Logistics Association, BVL], covered a total of 260 brands in 11 categories.

Last year, DB Schenker in Germany took second place in the Ocean Freight category and third place in the Land Transport category. The country is among the honorees this year. DB Schenker is on the list of winners as the best brand in the area of Contract Logistics.

It was a ceremonious evening at the Bertelsmann representative office in Berlin: More than 200 guests attended to witness the award presentation and celebrate with the victors. Among these were representatives from the logistics industry, as well as famous names from politics and the media. The logistics industry is among the three most important economic sectors in Germany.

The award was accepted by Dr. Thomas Böger, Head of Contract Logistics/SCM: “The vote by the diverse audience of trade professionals shows the special appreciation for our brand and the people behind it who give their best in contract logistics each and every day.” Thorsten Meffert and Dr. Thomas Böger proudly present the award (from left)

Dachser took second place, with third going to Kühne + Nagel. Our DB Cargo colleagues were honored with first prize in the category of Rail Transport Service

“Our brand is a promise to our customers to utilize our decades of experience and profound service expertise to always provide our customers with the best possible solution”, says Thorsten Meffert, Head of Marketing, DB Schenker in Germany.

This means that public recognition from the industry, which depends significantly upon the companies and their trademarks, is also vitally important. “Strong brands have a lot of visibility and can fundamentally shape the image of an entire industry,” says Prof. Dr. Ing. Thomas Wimmer, Chairman of the Executive Board of the BVL.
