Price Adjustment 2024
The economic climate in Europe is hopefully moving in a stable and positive direction.
The economy is characterized by a declining inflation rate compared to the levels of 2023, which however still exerts pressure and leads to cost increases.
On this basis, road transport freight rates will be adjusted with a general increase of 3.5% from October 1, 2024.
At the same time, and also effective from October 1, 2024, the separately calculated mobility and capacity surcharges will be included in the freight rates at the applicable rates.
Henceforth, these surcharges will not be calculated and shown separately but will be added and included in the applicable freight rates.
As previously mentioned, the Danish authorities have announced that trucks of 12 tons and above will have to pay a road tax based on their CO2 emissions when driving on the Danish road network from January 1, 2025. This tax is not included in the mentioned price adjustment. We will get back to you as soon as we have clarity on how this will affect our transport and pricing.
If you have any questions regarding the above, you are of course welcome to contact your local DB Schenker office for further information.
