    Road Tax in Danmark

As has been reported in the media, the Danish authorities have announced that from January 1, 2025, trucks weighing 12 tons or more will have to pay a road toll based on their CO2 emissions when driving on most of the Danish road network.

As has been reported in the media, the Danish authorities have announced that from January 1, 2025, trucks weighing 12 tons or more will have to pay a road toll based on their CO2 emissions when driving on most of the Danish road network.

This measure is part of a green transition of road transport in Denmark.

It is stated that the toll is intended to contribute to covering the socio-economic costs that truck traffic causes, such as wear and tear on infrastructure, accidents, noise, and air pollution, to a greater extent than today.

More information can be found on the website Vejafgifter.dk.

We have been working to clarify how this road toll will affect our costs related to transport within Denmark, as well as our international transport and thus our transport prices. We expect to be able to announce a supplement to our current transport prices soon.
