Kiran how did your career ride with TSC India started?
After completing my graduation in computer science, I took up teaching for some time. To explore more and gain practical experience I moved from Pune to New Delhi and joined TSC. Here I was recruited as a trainee intern. Within few months I was absorbed as a full-time Software Engineer based on my performance. Initially, I was handling L2 tickets and was soon promoted to handle L3 tickets.
In which team you are right now and the current project you are working on?
My role in TSC India is as Software Engineer for the AU WMS team. Currently, my project is with Samsung WMS, HP, and FXA for enabling enhancements in its applications. Overall, in my profile, I work on development-related issues, new application upgrades, enhancements, PIDs.
So how has been your experience so far with TSC India?
Experience so far with TSC India is great and has been a smooth ride (credit goes to my team manager, colleagues, and supporting partners). My manager has full visibility of my work. I try my best to complete my tasks before the timeline and it is much appreciated by the partners. Workplace policies provide a good work-life balance. I completely enjoy my time off from the work.
And how do you keep your learning curve grow here?
Recently I have completed my learning in python and have also developed a program around it. My current focus is on learning Artificial Intelligence (AI). I continuously keep my learning horizons open through self-learning, functional training, learning blogs provided by the organization. I equally feel great working with managers and colleagues, helping me to solve the queries and share their expertise.
One memorable moment at TSC India?
There are many. One is when our AU manager was in India, he gave a surprise party to three of the best-performing colleagues and I was one of them. It was a cherishing one!
What do you do in your free time?
I like coding and make sure to find time to advance my knowledge in the subject. I love discovering new places. Recently have been to Goa to rejuvenate with my family.
One piece of advice you want to give to young girls planning their career in IT?
IT is a vast industry in which you can only survive if you have the ability and capability to learn and grasp things easily. For this, trust your capabilities, keep the faith, know who you are, what you believe in, and where you want to go!
