Key Account Manager is responsible for the ongoing business, process and commercial management of customer including development of growth opportunities with the customer, implementation of such initiatives and internal liaison to ensure that all divisions are working towards agreed goals. The role requires active engagement and work with shared warehouse and transport operations. Further, the role includes producing regular reports and documentation of key performance indicators and data.
Customer
- Built strong relationships with local and Head Office client to achieve high customer satisfaction. Close interaction with customer local Site Operation team, Operation excellence team, Head Office for local operation support
- Prepares and conducts Monthly/Quarterly Business Reviews (MBR/QBR)
- Understand customer needs and be one step ahead through analysis of market trends and customer’s volumes/events. Provide innovative solutions for customer to achieve customer yearly cost saving target by cooperating with other teams
Business
- Owns customer P&L, deliver GP budgets and EBIT target
- Act strategically to achieve customer business growth and overall group success
- Renewal/Extension of logistic contracts. Creates rate proposals based on cost structure and projection. Negotiates pricing and contract conditions, in conjunction with the operations manager, global customer director and APAC team members
Projects
- Use Strategic Leadership to manage and collaborate on projects requested by customer with KLC/KLC2 warehouse teams
Skill Required
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Ability to communicate in English (written, verbal, presentation) is a Key
- Ability to communicate with corporate and local colleagues on a professional level
- Understanding of the business industry principles and overall performance in terms of the finance and profitability measures
- Good presentation and negotiation skills
- Skills to analyze and validate logistics data and business processes
- Proficient knowledge of MS Office (mainly EXCEL and Power Point)
- High level of energy, well-motivated and resilience
Experience and Qualifications
- Academic degree
- Background in logistics, production, account management customer service, sales experience
- Thorough understanding of supply chain logistics
- Minimum of 7 years working experience in logistics, production, or related functions
