To keep up with growing demand, DB Schenker in Malaysia has added nine tailgate trucks to its fleet. The trucks will give a huge boost to Malaysia’s domestic and cross-border land transport services.
Commenting on the new trucks, Captain Fadzil Merican, Head of Land Transport, Malaysia, said: “We have a strong domestic land network in Malaysia that we are very proud of. This fleet expansion aims at strengthening DB Schenker’s positioning as the leading land transport provider in Malaysia. It will help us to serve our customer even better with flexible transport options and more capacity on all major routes in Malaysia.”
The new trucks are equipped with a 1.5-ton Tail Lift, dedicated GPS (Global Positioning System), and telematics hardware. The GPS helps customers to have real-time transportation visibility throughout the entire journey, from loading to unloading at the destination warehouse. The tailgate allows for easier and faster loading of goods, better weight distribution and increased loads and productivity.
The new trucks will not only be used for domestic land transport but also for cross-border services. DB Schenker offers cross-border land services from Malaysia to China, Singapore, Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, Myanmar, and Indonesia.
