The Trade Lane Senior position is to execute and perform the Global Ocean Freight FCL within Thailand with special focus on: • Manage the global ocean freight carrier portfolio & allocation to maximize the country’s contribution to the global ocean freight VIP program (Volume Incentive Plan) • The optimization of the Country Ocean freight procurement activities (as part of the global ocean freight FCL procurement activities) and the FCL business structure within Thailand • The maximization of the ocean freight FCL business results of Thailand through business development task like market research, build relationships with internal customers like network branches, commercial teams…
Specific Accountabilities
Accountable - Execute the global & regional ocean freight strategy within Thailand, with special focus on the optimization of the ocean freight procurement activities. - Ensure competitive FCL rates for all kinds of ocean freight businesses and assists individually assigned trade teams to achieve best procurement results. Support & guide trade team for all Pricing and Procurement of Global & regional RFQ & all local opportunities to enable business growth - Establish and maintain excellent relationships with all FCL vendors and space allocation management including allocation performance per Global & regional set up - Monitors Thailand FCL budget including monitoring and ensuring FCL volumes performance - Monitors Profit & Loss including effective pricing/procurement & deciding selling rate in aligning with Head of Trade Management as well to ensure GP achievement as per target - Develops and processes FCL related product marketing/FCL promotions in cooperation with Head of Trade Management & Head of Sales
Supports Key Account Management/Sales and regional ocean freight teams regarding identification and acquisition of strategic FCL accounts and with attendance on key customer meetings Responsible - Effective performance of trade team in pricing & procurement - Effective carrier management & relationship - Achieve Volume & GP target & business growth
1. Bachelor’s in Business Logistics/Administration/Trade/Economics or related field
2. Minimum 5-7 years of relevant working experience
3. Existing well-established relationships with carriers
