General Description
- Responsible for holistic deployment of large-scale IT applications in an organization, incl. elicitation of the local legal requirement, setup of master data, documentation of functionalities supported by technical writers, support of user acceptance tests as well as training of super users and trainers of a country on the use of the application.
- Takes business needs and requirements, refines, and transforms into viable specifications and acceptance criteria.
- Works close collaboration with the respective Business Architecture team, as well as IT Solution Architect.
Main Tasks
- Defines, documents and carries out IT projects or sub-projects alone or with a small team, actively participating in all phases.
- Full responsibility for IT project.
- Plans and monitors the project tasks and resources, and escalates in case of deviations.
- Identifies, assesses and manages risks to the success of the project.
- Agrees to the project approach with stakeholders, and prepares realistic plans (including quality, risk and communications plans) and tracks activities against the project schedule, managing stakeholder involvement as appropriate.
- Ensures that own projects are formally closed and, where appropriate, subsequently reviewed and that lessons learned are recorded.
- Works in the front line with (future) users of applications and systems integrations.
- Understands business processes and translates them to the functionality in applications.
- Sets configurable elements in the system to support business processes or practice.
- Supports the User Acceptance Tests.
- Responsible for the documentation of functionalities.
- Responsible to train the end-users, super-users and trainers of a country on the use of the applications.
- Carries out certain technical requirements in terms of the configuration of systems and applications acc. to business requirements.
- Configures software parameters, activities, system maintenance and system documentation.
- Carries out internal and customer testing of applications acc. to business requests.
- Support and maintenance of local and regional IT Logistics services (i.e. applications and relevant hardware).
- Responsible for 1st level support, and coordinates 2nd level support when needed.
- Proactive user support in the workplace environment.
- Coordination of the resolution of application, hardware and software problems. Creation of temporary solutions until permanent solutions can be implemented.
- Awareness of service level agreement targets.
- Acts as liaison with client for troubleshooting: investigate, analyze, and solve software problems and map client business requirements, processes and objectives; develop necessary product modifications to satisfy clients' needs.
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of the organization and adheres to all organizational standards.
- Implements and supports current SAP GWS product on Logistics Execution WMS platform.
- Bachelor’s (or higher) degree level of computer science or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 end-to-end EWM implementations.
- Minimum 5-year SAP Functional Consultant (EWM, IM, MM, and SD)
- Practical experience in the Contract Logistics & Warehousing business.
- Experience supporting technology solutions for end-users.
- Strong technical aptitude and significant experience with relational databases.
- Good verbal and written skills to communicate with associates and all levels of management.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as in a team setting.
- Ability to work long hours and weekends as dictated by business needs.
