DB Schenker in China has been responsible for handling logistics for the Singles' Day promotional event for an American fashion retailer for ten years now. In just seven days, the team manages to successfully process up to two million items ordered online by customers within a 24 hour period.
Last year, DB Schenker shipped daily around 270,000 packages to end customers on China's Singles’ Day.
For an entire week, 2,500 associates worked 12-hour shifts to ensure that orders are processed round the clock at DB Schenker's two warehouses, which cover an area of 23,000 m².
