DB SCHENKER Singapore drives employee engagement in EV cars through roadshow event

Promoting eco-friendly alternatives • Sharing the benefits of EVs over traditional ICE vehicles • Meeting the growing interest in electric vehicle ownership

DB SCHENKER recently welcomed the Vantage Automotive team to its Singapore corporate office for an exclusive roadshow featuring three of BYD’s electric models. Responding to colleagues’ growing interest in electric vehicle ownership, the event aimed to provide insights into the costs involved before making a switch. As part of the company’s commitment to cultivating an eco-conscious workforce, an official car distributor was invited for a knowledge-sharing session about the benefits and financial considerations when transitioning to an electric vehicle in Singapore.

During the informative session, attendees also had the opportunity to test-drive three vehicles: the Seal, Dolphin, and Atto 3, further igniting their interest in EV adoption. A total of 23 test drives were conducted in the office vicinity with more than 30 attendees participating in the info session.

While car ownership in Singapore may not be accessible to everyone due to its unique landscape, but for existing car owners, many are drawn to the long-term savings on petrol and enhanced vehicular performance offered by the electric variant. DB SCHENKER Singapore strongly advocates for green initiatives both within and beyond the workplace as the company plans to install EV chargers for commercial vehicles. There are currently existing on-site chargers, but they are exclusive to heavy goods vehicles as the company recently launched 3 electric trucks in 2023. The new set of EV chargers will be installed across several sites to accommodate the growing adoption of electric cars among employees.
