DB Schenker Announces New CEO for Malaysia – Singapore Cluster

Charlie Kok will be stepping down as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for Schenker Singapore, effective 31 December 2022. We are pleased to announce the appointment of Catherine Soo as the new Chief Executive Officer of Schenker Malaysia & Singapore with effect from 1 January 2023.

Catherine was previously Vice President of Contract Logistics, Air and Ocean for Singapore. She joined Schenker back in 2016 and has over 15 years of experience in the logistics industry. Under her forward-thinking leadership coupled with her supply chain expertise, Catherine has continued to grow our contract logistics footprint to become one of the largest in Singapore. She has played a critical role in Schenker where her innovative ideas and people-centric approach sharpened our differentiation as an integrated lead logistics provider.

Prior to Schenker, she was in Volkswagen where she took up various roles in the organization across the globe from marketing to sales and eventually specializing in supply chain. Catherine holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from University of Wales.

This succession planning had been in place for some time to ensure a smooth transition. There will be no impact on businesses, customers, or any of our service levels. While the leadership torch has been passed to Catherine, Charlie will remain with us as he embarks on a new chapter, joining Schenker Asia Pacific Regional Office as Executive Director, Emerging Markets.
