DB Schenker Thailand Transforms Old Calendars into Braille Books for the Visually Impaired
On February 14, our QHSSE team in Thailand led a meaningful CSR initiative, turning old calendars into a gift of knowledge for the visually impaired. This initiative was made possible through the collaboration of employees across functions and business units, who came together to donate old calendars. Thanks to their collective effort, we successfully accumulated 10 full boxes of calendars.
Instead of discarding them, these calendars were donated to the Educational Technology for the Blind Center, where they will be upcycled into braille books—helping to make reading more accessible for those in need. The feedback from both our employees and the recipients was overwhelmingly positive, reinforcing the impact of this initiative.
But our commitment didn’t stop at the donation. Our team also volunteered to assemble braille books and record audiobooks, ensuring visually impaired individuals have more learning resources at their fingertips.
This marks the second consecutive year that we have continued this project due to its positive feedback and meaningful impact. With such strong support, we are committed to keeping this initiative going in the years to come.
At DB Schenker, we believe that small actions can create a lasting impact. This initiative reflects our dedication to sustainability, inclusion, and community support—values that drive us to make a difference every day.
