US Customs Brokerage

DB Schenker delivers reliable customs brokerage services through our dedicated corporate compliance professionals and brokerage teams across the US.

Why choose us?

DB Schenker is one of North America‘s leading Customs Brokers, and we pride ourselves in being miles ahead of our competition. Our value-added customs brokerage services range from our centralized account management structure, our full entry automation process, and our focus on compliance. Preparing to meet future market requirements through continuous improvement and innovation strengthens our competitive position in key industries.

How can we help you?

We have you covered nation-wide. We operate, using U.S. Customs Remote Location Filing (RLF) that allows for clearance at all ports from any of our branch locations. This ensures a smooth entry transaction and less delays on your imports.

We utilize a web-based tool called MyPortal, giving importers complete visibility and access to all shipment information 24/7/365.

We understand that the ever-changing rules and regulations of Customs authorities increases the complexity and risk to importers. DB Schenker’s Customs Brokerage Services can help you make sense of it all and offer support on your import procedures.

CERS – B13 Preparation

Prior to registering for any export reporting method, ensure that you have a valid business number. Determine if you require an export declaration and/or a permit, certificate or license and then classify your exports.

The Canadian Automated Export Declaration (CAED) was decommissioned on September 30, 2020.
There are currently two new methods available to submit an export declaration.

The CAED has been replaced by the Canadian Export Reporting System (CERS), which is a free, web-based, self-service portal that enables exporters to submit electronic declarations and Summary Reporting Program monthly reports to the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA). This method is recommended by CBSA.
The second method is through G7 Electronic Data Interchange Export Reporting (G7 EDI).
