(Miami, FL 09/05 - 5pm) We would like to update our network partners and customers on the recent developments in Caribbean and USA.
Hurricane Irma, with the most powerful winds ever recorded of 185 mph for a storm in the Atlantic Ocean, is approaching the Caribbean from the east on a path that could take it toward Florida over the weekend. According the the National Hurricane Center, Hurricane Irma remains a dangerous Category 5 and poses an immediate threat to the small islands of the northern Leewards, including Antigua and Barbuda, as well as the British and U.S. Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico.
As Hurricane Irma intensifies & preparations begin, DB Schenker reminds everyone to stay safe. DB Schenker is closely monitoring Hurricane Irma. Our contingency plans are in place and, as always, our priorities are the safety and well-being of our team members and minimizing the effects of potential storms on service.
We will update customers with Logistics support in the affected areas as we know more.
